Germany: Tendence experiences fewer visitors at the shortened and modified show

The modified concept of the Tendence trade fair and the extended supporting programme with events and live presentations were well received by exhibitors and visitors in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), assesses the event organisers.

However the shortening from four to three days and tropical temperatures at the consumer goods trade fair caused a drop in the number of visitors. Around 15,000 trade visitors came to Frankfurt between 29 June and 1 July 2019; this was 17,736 a year before. The number of exhibitors at 603 also lay significantly below the figure for 2018 (960).

The satisfaction values on the part of visitors continues to be at a high level, according to Messe Frankfurt. The share of international purchasers remains stable compared to the previous year. The top visitor nations after Germany were Switzerland, Italy, Austria, France, the People’s Republic of China, the Netherlands, Japan, Poland, Belgium, Vietnam and Great Britain.

The trade event recorded a growth in visitors in particular from Ireland and South-East Europe.
